1876-H Penny Quite a rare penny, and in reasonably good condition, too. The 'H', visible just below the date, is the designation of the Birmingham mint of Ralph Heaton and Sons, who sometimes stepped in to assist the Royal Mint in the production of coins. Other 'H' denominations were 1874, 1875, 1881, 1882, 1912, 1918 and 1919. Spink no. 3955
